With the end of the twentieth Roza of the Holy month of Ramadan Kareem, the Ramadan 3rd (third) Ashra of Nijaat started. This ashra is full of divine blessings from Almighty Allah. It is seen that every Muslim in the holy month of Ramadan Kareem shows full dedication, does righteous actions, and performs good deeds. Which is then followed to the lifetime, Ramadan Kareem is the blessed month of the Islamic calendar which has great importance. In Ramadan Kareem, the priority of every Muslim is to reform himself and to make a stronger spiritual connection with Almighty Allah. Ramadan Kareem is the holy month to overcome all your wrong deeds and confirm the commitment not to repeat that same mistakes.

Dua for Ramadan 3rd (Third) Ashra

In the Holy month of Ramadan Kareem, every Ashra has a special dua to recite.

For the (third) 3rd Ashra of Ramadan Kareem,

O Allah, save me from the fire (Jahannam).

For every Muslim, Ramadan Kareem is the best opportunity to cut out bad habits and make a firm belief of not repeating those wrong deeds. Ramadan is the best opportunity to have the shower of blessings from Almighty Allah. There is no hidden truth that our honest faith and good deeds performed in Ramadan Kareem can result in success in this world and hereafter. When we do act upon the commands of Almighty Allah with full dedication, we feel a prominent change in our personalities, so to overcome our bad deeds and to build a stronger connection that makes us close to Almighty Allah, there is no better time other than Ramadan Kareem.

Important deeds to perform in the Last Ashra of Ramadan Kareem

Itikaf in Ramadan is the best mean of having a strong spiritual connection of your soul with Almighty Allah. All of those Muslims who plan to sit on itikaf, have to reside in Mosque for the last ten days of Ramadan Kareem. Muslims from all over the world offer itikaf and reside for full day and night in the Mosque of their area in the last Ashra of Ramadan Kareem. The most important reason for offering Itikaf is to have a very special reward from Almighty Allah and to avail, the blessings of the blessed night that are more significant for more than thousands of months is also known as Laylat al-Qadr. The importance of Itikaf is described in this Hadith

Narrated by Hazrat Aisha(R.A) , the wife of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam):

“The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) used to practice Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan till he died and then his wives used to practice Itikaf after him.”

Laylat al-Qadr

Night of Laylat al-Qadr is the night full of blessings from Almighty Allah. The Laylatul Qadr can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, It is the night of divine blessings from Almighty Allah.

Prophet’s wife `A’isha narrates,

When the last ten nights began Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) kept awake at night (for prayer and devotion), wakened his family, and prepared himself to observe salah (with more vigor).

On the blessing night of Laylat al-Qadr, Muslims offer special prayers in which include recitation of the Holy Quran, zikr of Almighty Allah, and nawafil prayers. All of these are means of building a firm connection of your soul with Almighty Allah. Laylat al-Qadr is also famously known as the night of forgiveness, in which this is the utmost desire of every Muslim to have forgiveness from all the evil deeds or actions performed throughout his life and build a stronger connection with Almighty Allah. Laylat ul-Qadr has great importance that is why it is stated that the significance of Laylat al-Qadr is as much more significantly more than thousands of months. Due to the endless rewards and countless blessings it is also known as the Night of Decree.

Some of the various actions performed by every Muslim on the night of Laylat ul-Qadr from which some of them are listed below:

  • Offers special prayers throughout the night.
  • Offers special duas.
  • Recitation of Holy Quran.
  • Recite zikr of Almighty Allah.
  • Offers sadqa.

Holy Quran

Holy Quran is the last holy book of Almighty Allah, which is revealed on the last prophet of Almighty Allah on Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W). Holy Quran was also completed on the 27th of Ramadan Kareem.

The Qur’an’s 97th chapter is dedicated entirely to this night:

Indeed, We revealed [the Qur’an] during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. (97:1-5)


Zikr of Almighty Allah is the best source of building an unbreakable connection with the endless blessings of Almighty Allah. In Zikr of Almighty Allah, we often recite dua and ayats of the Holy Quran, which has huge importance and there is a very special reward for zikr of Almighty Allah for every Muslim.

“O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance”
(Quran 33:41).

Holy Month of Ramadan Kareem teaches us the exact way of how to live a life. In which, Fasting has a very special reward from Almighty Allah that is awarded to everyone who fasts regularly in the month of Ramadan Kareem. The only wish of every Muslim in the holy month of Ramadan Kareem is to make a firm and stronger connection with Almighty Allah, which is then followed every day in his life. Every Ramadan, Muslims make a determination of reforming themselves and making themselves pure from all the evil deeds that could harm them or direct them towards a path of evil deeds and dissatisfaction.
