This is a story in chaste Urdu of Father and Son, Bairam and Rahim. They were courtiers and commanders during the period of Humayun, Akbar, and Jahangir, the three great Mughals. They were also great literary figures of the period. Bairam wrote in Turki and Farsi while Rahim is a well-known Hindi Doha poet. Originally written by Debi Parshad in 1879, the recent edition has been updated and brought well documented by Hasan Beg. This book is now in its fifth edition and has been even translated in Turkmani language.
